What if a depressed wit would fly to the moon with a blowtorch on a hill?

Thanks to "the Skinny" on Veer, I found this amazingly random "What if?" generator. While completely nonsensical (for the most part), it definately gets the brain juices flowing.

And while you're there, be sure to check out Tilmann Vogt's animated short, "Snout".

The sketches are coming later.

Word.

Finished!

Pretty much, anyways. With just a few changes to make and the regular updates and revisions, I've actually got this thing together. I found myself at the end happy, but exhausted. Feels good though.

On a completely unrelated note, ever check out Animation World Network? I highly recommend it, especially their full-colour, free downloadable magazines. Some very inspiring stuff, indeed.

Knitted Goods

I don't knit, but my girlfriend does. She does a damn fine job, too. And if she harasses me enough, she can actually get me off my lazy ass to take some photos. So, without much to talk about today (burnt out from all this website development %#@*), take a look...

Oh, and of course there's a sketch. Might be another before the day ends – who knows.

Flea markety goodness

It'd be nice to go to a flea market where not everything is treated (and priced) like an antique - like the ones I remember as a kid. Somebody said "one man's junk is another man's treasure", and all of a sudden, everyone's junk is treasure.

Still, though, if you look hard enough (and have strange taste in treasure), you find things. Interesting things. Like HOW magazines from the 80s. If you've never looked at 20 year old design books and magazines, you really should (assuming you have an interest at all in this sort of thing). It not only made me appreciate the ease of which we can do things these days (what with computers and all), but it reminded me that I don't have to use a computer all the time. My pencil still works, maybe even better.

That being said, I've been doing too many of these sketches in Photoshop.
